Job Title: Program Site Coordinator

Program Status: Full-Time

Purpose of the Position

The After School Enrichment Site Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the daily operations of our Afterschool and summer camp programs for kindergarten through 8th grade students. This person will encourage, empower, trust, inspire, teach, have confidence in and value each member of our team. With the goal of creating a team that thrives on feedback, the After School Enrichment Site Coordinator is reflective and aspires to offer the best quality care for our children and families. This person makes decisions based on sound developmental knowledge and continues learning best practices of the early childhood field. The After School Enrichment Site Coordinator is responsible for creating a safe, positive, nurturing and engaging environment. The After School Enrichment Coordinator seeks to understand and meet the daily expectations of families. This position also is responsible for program design and, in conjunction with other staff, establishing programs, curriculum, activities and class materials that can be used at multiple sites. This includes programming, recruitment, registration, monitoring payment of fees, site set up and maintenance. The coordinator is responsible for overseeing program assistants, volunteers and participate in hiring, onboarding, and training.

Primary Responsibilities

• Meet weekly with the Operation Manager to coordinate staffing, enrollment changes and activities planning.
• Ensure and maintain proper teacher-to-student ratios, not including the Program Site Coordinator.
• Ensure a clean, tidy and organized appearance throughout the day.
• Onsite Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm and oversee the daily closing procedures including cleaning and parent communication.
• Ensure the appropriate implementation and coordination of field trips, specialists, special visitors, and optional class offerings.
• Email families using Constant Contact, PayPal and Google drive and update distribution lists.
• Perform teacher responsibilities when needed.
• interviews with AVPRIDE volunteers, board members, etc.
• Participate in required training programs, conferences, courses or other aspects of professional growth.
• Schedule and conduct daily afterschool team meetings.
• Support operations, such as recruiting, interviewing, hiring, supervising, coordinate faculty meetings; encourage all employees to participate in courses, seminars, conferences, and professional development experiences.

Primary Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (Preferred)
• 2+ years of experience working with youth, ages 13-18 years
• EEC Teacher Certified or working towards certification
• Highly proficient with all google applications
• Familiar with or ability to learn Constant Contact
• Extremely detailed and accuracy-oriented
• Exceptional work ethic
• Ability to create a warm, welcoming and positive culture
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well with others and collaborate
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Team-oriented player with a positive attitude and ability to work independently
• Flexibility and willingness to assist teachers when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $27,300.00 per year

Triple filter cleaners are in the classrooms, all staff are vaccinated, masks are required for staff and students, daily sanitation procedures are in place.
