The Crisis Text Line – This text-based crisis line serves anyone, in any type of crisis, providing access to free, 24/7 support and information via texting. Text “HOME” to 741-741.

 

Suicide Prevention (these are NOT crisis hotlines)

Stop A Suicide Today – Helpful website that provides suicide prevention information for someone experiencing suicidal thoughts, their friends, and family. 

SAVE – A prevention and advocacy organization the provides a variety of resources for suicide awareness, links to care, and prevention guides. 

The Suicide Prevention Resource Center – A hub for suicide prevention and mental health resources that contains multiple guides and links to further resources. 

 

Teen Mental Health Resources 

Trevor Text – 1-866-488-7386 A service provided by The Trevor Project that aims to help LGBTQ youth who may be struggling with a mental health crisis. Text “START” to 678-678 anytime to be connected with a counselor. 

SIOS – Self-Injury outreach and support. A non-profit outreach initiative focused on supporting those who self-injure. 

Tips to Help Teens Cope During COVID-19 – A helpful guide on promoting and maintaining positive mental health. This guide provides actionable tips to improve mental health and wellness, especially during the COVID pandemic. 

Smokefree.gov: Nicotine & Addiction – Information on nicotine and tobacco use prevention 

Breaking the Silence – A part of the Project Safe organization, 706-765-8019 is a text line that is aimed at helping teens recognize and safely exit unhealthy relationships. 

 

Substance Abuse Disorder Support Resources 

Alcoholics Anonymous in Georgia – Resource for finding in-person and virtual AA meetings throughout the state. 

The Summit Wellness Group – Highly-rated Atlanta-based addiction and mental health provider with an extensive assortment of online recovery resources. Their phone number is 770-741-2579. 

SAMHSA’s Treatment Locator – Directory for finding treatment facilities confidentially and anonymously. Helpful online recovery support resources and a 24/7 helpline at 678-705-8762. 

Georgia Overdose Prevention Project – An advocacy organization that provides free naloxone kits to Georgians through the mail, also maintains a map of Naloxone kit locations. In Fayetteville, there is a 24/7 Naloxone box outside of Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic, located at 105C Bradford Square, Fayetteville, GA 30215.
