Starting in elementary school, the K-8 Enrichment Program helps students gain vital educational and study skills and begins the process of social and cultural awareness that will help them become productive citizens locally and globally. The middle school years are known as the “bridges” group in which self-awareness and self-confidence is gained through thoughtful and strategic decision making with a focus on the necessary skills for the teen and high school years.
Our South Atlanta Youth Alliance Program works with high school students to develop their advocacy and leadership skills which is balanced with community engagement and servant leadership. Our goal is to help develop the whole person who leads a rich, developed life and gives back to the community in meaningful ways.
We also recognize that children and teens cannot successfully progress in the absence of strong families and role models. For this reason, AVPRIDE has been awarded federal and state alcohol and substance abuse grants for a decade to positively impact youth and adults in need.
